Mimi’s Faithful Friday

Growing faith. Blessing generations.

Faithful Encouragement

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

                                 Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Not only are we do this with our children but I believe that we should do this with our grandkids as well, without overstepping their parents.

Faith Sharing Idea - 3 simple ways to share Jesus during an ordinary afternoon visit to Mimi’s House

  1. Praying when you sit down to eat - whether it is lunch, dinner, or a snack.

  2. Share a short Bible story. There are so many stories in the Bible that are appropriate for kids of all ages. Keep a children’s Bible or a book of Bible Stories at your house and take time to read to them or have them read to you. Talk about the story.

  3. Baking bread. I have a simple recipe that I use for this  only using 3 ingredients. While baking bread, you can have a c onversation about Jesus being the bread of life.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for the reminder to cling to you with all of me - my heart, soul, and strength. Thank you for the reminder to share my faith with my grandchildren in ordinary moments.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
