Christian Sleepover Ideas at Grandma’s House

As grandmothers, we want to share our faith with our grandkids. A sleepover at Grandma’s house is a fun and easy way to share Jesus with your grandchildren. Here are a few ideas to get you started with a playful theme -

Walking in the Light

Atmosphere 

Have flashlights, glow sticks, twinkle lights available. Play quiet worship music during quieter times.

Faith + Craft time

*Decorate a prayer journal

*Paint rocks with words like: Peace, joy, love, grace

Pajama + Story time

*Pick a Bible story with light in it - i.e. the creation story

*Pair it with a story from your life or their parent’s life

Flashlight Prayer Time

*Each child gets a flashlight and says a prayer. After the prayer, they turn the light off. 

Bedtime Blessing

*Say a short blessing over each child: “May you be a light wherever you go.

Morning Wrap-Up

*Eat a favorite breakfast and have your grandchild share their favorite activity

*Send them home with the craft they made
