4 Simple Ways to Share Jesus in an Afternoon Visit

Sometimes, we only have an afternoon (or a morning visit) with our grandchildren. Here are some ways to share your faith with only a few materials needed and little to no preparation required.

One topic I love to share with you my grandkids is about kindness. Some Bible verses that you can share include:

*Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

*Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

Colossians 3:12

Of course, there are many other Bible verses that you can share.

How do you think showing kindness lets people know they are loved by God?

Activities

  1. Write a card and/or draw a picture for someone - it can be a family member or a friend, maybe someone who needs encouragement. Include one of the above Bible verses and depending on the age of your grandchild, you can write it or they can.

  2. Bake a treat and share it with someone. It can be shared with a neighbor or a family member.

  3. Make a “Jesus loves you” sidewalk chalk art on your driveway or sidewalk.

  4. Praying for others. Talk about people in their lives who may need some kindness and specifically pray for that person.

They are many other ways that you can share Jesus in an afternoon (or a morning visit). I would love to hear your ideas - please share below.
