Faithful Friday

Sharing faith. Blessing generations

Faithful Encouragement

The LORD is my light and my salvation

            Whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the stronghold of my life -

Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1

Faith Sharing Idea - all ages

Sharing Bible stories about fear and being brave. Three that come to mind - Daniel and the Lion and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego being thrown into the fire, and Jonah and the whale (or big fish).

Choose one or more stories and talk to your grandchildren about the story. What are some things that they (and you) noticed? Is there anything that they can/did they learn from the story? Where is God in the story?

You can have simpler discussions with younger grandchildren and more in depth conversations with older grandchildren. With babies and toddlers, just reading to them is so wonderful; enjoy the cuddles and closeness of reading to them.

Adding a craft project is always fun. I have put some ideas on my pinterest board. You can check it out here

Legacy Reflection

What do you wish to share with your grandchildren about God through these stories?

Prayer

Lord, you are an amazing God. I see you in everything from the ocean to the mountains, and the sun, moon and stars. I am so thankful for my beautiful grandchildren, (name them) and their parents. Please help me find opportunities to share your son, Jesus with them.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
